Frequently Asked Questions
- answered
-I have never danced before/ haven't for years - is this suitable for me?
YES! absolutely.
All classes are kept at classes pace - we do not move on until everyone is comfortable.
It's not about finishing the intended choreography - it's about making sure you walk away feeling empowered and like YOU have learnt something - that is the most important thing to me.
I can give adaptations where needed to meet you where you are at / please feel free to adapt things to suit you best, you don't need to ask for permission - this is about YOU.
Beginners does not equal basic - so you will be challenged and pushed but the above will always stand - adaptation and class pace. No matter what.
Is there any age restrictions for classes?
Yes.
For heels - 18+ or 17+ with parental consent. I would need the parent to fill in a form for me to confirm they consent. If you require this - don't hesitate to get in touch over instagram @projectherr or hello.projecther@gmail.com to request this.
Commercial - 16+.
Can my child be present during class if any childcare issues occur?
If the class is held at The Cresset - Bretton Studio - yes, there is an extra small room in the studio for them to be comfortable - please bring something with them to keep them entertained!
Lifestyle Fitness studio - there is seating downstairs however, not in the studio as the space is limited unfortunately.
Please message me beforehand to ensure I can accommodate this!
- What do I bring to class / what do I wear?
For heels - please bring some heels if you have some but this is optional.
Some water and knee pads/cover your knees.
Wear whatever tf you feel comfortable in.
No limits - no expectations on that.
Just make sure it is not restrictive - stretchy material that allows you to move fully and freely. Apart from that - ANYTHING goes!
What type of heels are best?
Anything lace up and open toe.
The laces allow you to adjust the support on your ankles & open toe gives your feet freedom of movement.
I get most of mine from Joheela - they are designed for dance - to support your ankles properly, comfort, and able to withstand a good few years of dance.
Proper heels are an investment though - so I don't expect this from the start at all. Just something to think about in the future!
If you do purchase from Joheela - use 'PROJECTHER' for 15% off ✨
For the first time ever - as long as you can comfortably walk in the heels you have - then perfect!
When are classes released to be booked on?
I usually release further dates a month in advance.
I don't usually release any further than the next month to ensure classes don't sell out for months in advance and allows everyone the chance to book on!
